Your door stays secure either way. Smart locks keep working locally — fingerprint, PIN, RFID, and the physical key all function without the internet. Smart plugs and cameras lose remote control but hold their last setting until connection returns.
Wi-Fi lets you control your lock from anywhere via the app — great for remote unlocking. Bluetooth works locally within about 10–15 metres, no internet needed, and is faster and more battery-efficient. Some Ozone locks give you both.
